The SHINING P304.8 is a large-pitch, cranked-sidebar roller chain for the heaviest sugar-mill conveying. It runs at a 304.8 mm pitch with an 88.9 mm roller and a 69.85 mm inner width (narrow end), a 101.6 mm chainplate of 15.9 mm thickness, and a 38.1 mm pin on a 162 mm pin length. The hole size is 33.34 x 33.34 mm.
The size is set by the duty: where the line carries cane or bagasse in a wide, heavily loaded carrier, a large-pitch roller chain with a big roller and a heavy sideplate is what keeps the chain tracking and wearing evenly. The chain has been exported for over twenty years of sugar-mill service.

Every working part - pin, bush and roller - is heat-treated or hardened to reach the strength and working life the sugar duty demands, not left in the as-machined state.
The chain is built for high strength and a long working life under continuous load, which is what keeps a mill's carrier line running between shutdowns.
The roller turns on the bush rather than sliding, so friction and wear are taken at the bush/roller interface and the pin is protected from the abrasive load.
A full line of matching sprockets is available, and attachments are made to your drawing, so chain, sprocket and attachment come from one source and wear together.
Chain, sprockets, slats, buckets and shafts can all be supplied together, so the whole assembly is sized and matched by one manufacturer instead of being pieced together.
