Overview

The SHINING P101.6 is a bush chain built for sugar-mill conveying. It runs at a 101.6 mm pitch with a 25.40 mm roller, a 15.70 mm pin and a 54.00 mm width between the inner plates. The average tensile strength is 160 kN (35,968 lbf) and the chain weighs 11.25 kg/m.

The bush and roller run on a hardened pin, so the wear is taken at the bush and the pin is protected - which is what keeps a carrier chain tight between shutdowns. The chain is supplied in the SS102B build shown in the table below.

Applications in the Sugar Mill

  • Cane Feed and Washing Tables: conveying cane into the mill where the chain runs wet and abrasive.

  • Bagasse Carriers: carrying wet bagasse away from the milling train.

  • Juice Filters and Screens: drives where a steady pitch matters.

  • Waste and Return Conveying: mixed refuse and return-material duty.

  • Grain and Bulk Handling: the same chain is used where a 101.6 mm pitch bush chain fits.

Features

Heat-Treated Components

Every working part - pin, bush and roller - is heat-treated or hardened to reach the strength and working life the sugar duty demands, not left in the as-machined state.

High Strength, Long Service Life

The chain is built for high strength and a long working life under continuous load, which is what keeps a mill's carrier line running between shutdowns.

Roller Runs on the Bush

The roller turns on the bush rather than sliding, so friction and wear are taken at the bush/roller interface and the pin is protected from the abrasive load.

Matched Sprockets and Attachments

A full line of matching sprockets is available, and attachments are made to your drawing, so chain, sprocket and attachment come from one source and wear together.

One-Stop Supply

Chain, sprockets, slats, buckets and shafts can all be supplied together, so the whole assembly is sized and matched by one manufacturer instead of being pieced together.

Specifications

The table below gives the standard P101.6 bush chain. Pitch and other linear dimensions are in mm, average tensile strength in kN/lbf and mass in kg/m. Other widths, pins and attachments are made to order.

Why SHINING for Sugar-Mill Chain

SHINING has manufactured conveyor chain and sprockets for sugar mills for over twenty years, with drop forging, welding, machining and heat treatment under our own control. Every production batch is tensile-tested before shipment, and our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (46026Q00958R053) and ISO 14001:2015 (46026E00959R053).

We build to interchange. Send the OEM part number, an old link or a drawing, and we will confirm the match and reproduce it dimension-for-dimension, with sprockets and attachments cut to suit.

Service & Support

Standard production lead time is 60 days from receipt of the order and confirmation of the drawing. For breakdowns and planned shutdowns we can discuss an expedited slot - tell us your date and we will plan the delivery around it.

Our engineers support station and duty review, chain selection, wear and elongation analysis, maintenance planning, and genuine replacement parts. Send your conveying duty and we will size the chain for you.

FAQs aboutP101.6 bush chain for sugar mill

Do you supply the sprockets as well as the chain?

Yes, and we recommend it. Chain and sprocket should be engineered as one system. We supply solid, split and segmental sprockets, tooth-cut to the actual pitch of the chain.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard lead time is 60 days from receipt of the order and confirmation of the drawing; minimum order is 100 meter of chain. Crush-season timing matters - tell us your start date and for urgent breakdowns we can discuss an expedited slot.

Can you match our existing mill's chain that is not in your catalogue?

Yes - OEM and replacement manufacturing are our core business. Send the old chain, a drawing or the pitch, inside width, pin diameter and attachment pattern, and we reproduce it dimension-for-dimension, with matching sprockets.

Can you supply a spare from a sample or an old part?

Yes. Send a worn sample or a short length and we will reverse-engineer it - pitch, plate and attachment geometry - and manufacture to the agreed specification.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is 100 meter for chain. Sprockets are quoted per piece.

What certifications and documentation do you provide?

SHINING holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification covering the R&D and production of chains and sprockets, both valid to 21 July 2029. Every production batch is dimensionally inspected and tensile-tested, and Mill Test Certificates and insp
