Overview

The SHINING 6859R-G9-E2P is a bucket elevator chain built for cement plants. It runs on a 228.6 mm pitch with 7.5 mm chainplates 63.5 mm deep, a 25.4 mm pin in a 44.45 mm bush, and the average tensile strength is 430 kN. The bucket fixing attachments are G-9 steel bushed/knuckle chain attachments on an offset sidebar (Renold Style O), fitted every 2 pitches (E2P), so bucket centres sit 457.2 mm apart; attachment plate dimensions are made to each customer's drawing.

On a bucket elevator the chain carries its own weight, the buckets and the material over a vertical lift, all day. The 6859R-G9-E2P is built for that duty: a heat-treated pin with a hardened bearing surface, a carburized bush and an offset sidebar (Style O) form that keeps the buckets running true on the head sprocket.

Applications in the Cement Plant

  • Raw Meal and Kiln Feed Elevators: lifting ground raw meal to the preheater tower.

  • Clinker and Cement Elevators: hot clinker and finished cement on the same pitch.

  • Central Chain Bucket Elevators: replacement chains for existing elevator frames.

  • Matched Sprockets: head and boot sprockets available from the same works.

Features

430 kN Tensile Margin

The average tensile strength of 430 kN carries the vertical lift with a wide margin over working tension, including start-up loads with a full boot.

Pin Runs in a Hardened Bush

The 25.4 mm pin is heat-treated with a hardened bearing surface, and the 44.45 mm bush is carburized - the wear is taken at the bush, where it can be replaced.

Offset Sidebar (Style O) Construction

The offset sidebar carries the bucket load through the full plate section and keeps the buckets aligned on the head sprocket.

G-9 Steel Bushed/Knuckle Chain Attachment, Offset Sidebar

The chain is built with G-9 steel bushed/knuckle chain attachments on an offset sidebar (Style O) every 2 pitches (E2P), one attachment plate on every second link, so bucket centres are fixed at 2 x 228.6 = 457.2 mm. The plate is 140 mm wide with 152.4 mm fixing centres and four bolt holes for the bucket back plate; other attachment patterns and spacings (E3P, E4) are made to your drawing.

Matched Sprockets

Head and boot sprockets are supplied from the same works, so chain and sprocket wear together.

Why SHINING for Cement-Plant Chain

SHINING has manufactured conveyor chain and sprockets for cement plants for over twenty years, with drop forging, welding, machining and heat treatment under our own control. Every production batch is tensile-tested before shipment, and our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (46026Q00958R053) and ISO 14001:2015 (46026E00959R053).

We build to interchange. Send the OEM part number, an old link or a drawing, and we will confirm the match and reproduce it dimension-for-dimension, with sprockets and attachments cut to suit.

Service & Support

Standard production lead time is 60 days from receipt of the order and confirmation of the drawing. For breakdowns and planned shutdowns we can discuss an expedited slot - tell us your date and we will plan the delivery around it.

Our engineers support station and duty review, chain selection, wear and elongation analysis, maintenance planning, and genuine replacement parts. Send your conveying duty and we will size the chain for you.

Contact Us

Tell us your duty, your drawing or the OEM part number, and our engineers will come back with the right chain and a price. Email the sales team at sales@shiningco.com.

FAQs about6859R-G9-E2P Bucket Elevator Chain for Cement Plants

How do I get a quote for cement chain and sprocket

Send us the chain number or OEM part number (or a drawing / sample), the chain length, and the duty - material handled, temperature, load and speed. We will come back with a specification and a price.

What certification do you hold?

SHINING is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Inspection reports and certificates of conformance are issued with every order.

Do you make non-standard or custom chain?

Yes. Non-standard pitches, special attachments, custom scraper or flight spacing, alternative materials and surface treatments are all routine for us.

Do you supply the sprockets as well as the chain?

Yes, and we recommend it. Chain and sprocket should be engineered as one system. We supply solid, split and segmental sprockets, tooth-cut to the actual pitch of the chain.

Can you supply a spare from a sample or an old part?

Yes. Send a worn sample or a short length and we will reverse-engineer it - pitch, plate and attachment geometry - and manufacture to the agreed specification.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is 30 meter for chain - a cement conveyor set runs 30 to 50 meter and is always heavy-duty, so one order covers a full line. Sprockets are quoted per piece.

What is your lead time?

Our standard production lead time is 60 days from receipt of the order and confirmation of the drawing. For urgent breakdowns, tell us the deadline and we will confirm what can be pulled forward.

How long does a cement plant chain last?

Life depends on the duty - material, temperature, speed and load - not one figure. Judge it by elongation: a correctly specified, heat-treated chain stays within the take-up range far longer. Tell us the duty and we will set the specification.

Can you replace the chain on our existing conveyor without changing the drive?

Yes. Our chains and sprockets interchange with the major international cement-chain brands. Send the OEM part number or a drawing and we will confirm the match; a short length of the original chain lets us measure and match it exactly.
