The slat gives the conveyor a flat surface for transferring bulk materials or powder, so the product rides level and does not spill at transfer points.
Large-tonnage hydraulic presses are used for metal shaping, so heavy and long slats are formed in house rather than welded up from sections.
Slats can be supplied in carbon steel or in stainless grades for wet and corrosive sugar duty, and matched to the chain that carries them.
Bolt pitch, thickness and width are matched to the chain so the assembly runs flat without preload or rock.
Slats are made to your drawing: length, width and thickness, bolt pitch and hole positions, and material (carbon steel or stainless) are all quoted against the drawing. Send us the drawing or a sample and we will match it.
SHINING has manufactured conveyor chain and sprockets for sugar mills for over twenty years, with drop forging, welding, machining and heat treatment under our own control. Every production batch is tensile-tested before shipment, and our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (46026Q00958R053) and ISO 14001:2015 (46026E00959R053).
We build to interchange. Send the OEM part number, an old link or a drawing, and we will confirm the match and reproduce it dimension-for-dimension, with sprockets and attachments cut to suit.
Standard production lead time is 60 days from receipt of the order and confirmation of the drawing. For breakdowns and planned shutdowns we can discuss an expedited slot - tell us your date and we will plan the delivery around it.
